It's been so dark and rainy the last few days that, with this change of season into Autumn I've been binging on ghost stories on audible & libby and felt inspired to make a creepy witchy ios theme for my shop. Money has been absolutely flying out of my account at an alarming rate the last few weeks. Something nobody prepares you for is how expensive it is to go back to school - and drama school is not cheap. I've had to get a ton of books including the RSC Complete Works of Shakespeare (aka the granite headstone) which I hope to god I don't need to carry around on the daily because it weighs an absolute ton, a backpack, dance shoes, all black everything, a giant waterbottle because the school doesn't have a fountain, a neck fan because I'm claustrophobic and hopefully it'll help me not panic on the tube during rush hour, sports bras because jumping around when you're a top heavy fraction is no fun, charcoal shoe inserts for stinky dance shoes.... not to mention trying to sort out student versions of everything including an oyster card... which is not easy when your school isn't appearing on TFL's system for no apparent reason, and tfl collapses inwardly in a state of overwhelm after applications being open for only two days because despite this same shit happening every academic year for the past 20 years, they still don't seem to have twigged they need to get enough bums on seats to process all the applications. So I guess I'll be paying full fare for my first week and trying to claim it back. Which will be fun.
Anyway, to try and claw back some funds, I'm trying to cram a few more bits in my etsy shop before term starts on Monday, so here's the latest - inspired by this dingy dank dark weather and my audible playlist.
